Star Wars action figures are always going to be popular gifts during the holiday season because there is an ongoing appreciation for those characters and that extensive universe, either through the continued fandom of original viewers or through being passed on to the next generation. The excitement around the franchise has exploded with the anticipation for Episode 7 and this is the ideal time to introduce kids to the character of Darth Vader. Some kids may not appreciate the fact that the official Star Wars 31” My Size Darth Vader has been replicated from Episode 3, Revenge of the Sith, but some of the geekier adults buying it might.
Giant Size Darth Vader Model
This articulated model of the scary villain is quite impressive in terms of the detail and work that has gone into creating a scaled-down version with the precision molding on the helmet, the brilliant proportions on the figure and the quality of the outfit. Rather than have a fully plastic molded figure the costume and cape are fabric.
The seven point articulation means that this “doll” is poseable and the left hand can reach out to perform a force choke on any unsuspecting visitors. Additionally there is an authentic lightsaber in the hilt around Vader’s waist so he is armed and ready for combat against your young Jedi’s in training. The movements offered are great for kids that may want to play with Vader and fight against him in their role playing games but it is the size of this thing that is the main selling point for both kids and the many adult collectors that will want this formidable figure guarding their man cave. The model reaches 2.5 feet tall, more than tall enough for all that detailed work to be worthwhile and for kids to know that this far more than a standard action figure.
