There is a saying in show-business to always leave your audience wanting more and that was definitely true of Poe Dameron. There was the sense that this was our new Han Solo, the smart-mouthed hero and fighter pilot that could help Finn and Rey defeat the First Order, but his role in Episode 7 was more minimal than some would have liked. With this in mind, it is no surprise that Poe action figures and toys have become so popular and one that should really excite new fans in the new buildable LEGO model.
Get LEGO Star Wars Poe Dameron ready for battle to provide back-up for other Resistance models.
The new 2016 LEGO Poe Dameron build-able figure gives players the chance to own a model of this new hero and create battle scenes with greater depth and detail against other figures, such as Stormtroopers and Kylo Ren. Poe is modelled in his orange flight suit, ready for another aerial battle, and this will appeal to avid collectors as it brings the old and new together in an appealing way. Poe’s role in this film is very much to combine the early trilogy with the new ideas as he represents a new generation of pilots ready to take on the First Order and take down their ships. His costume is reminiscent of past movies, which means that this model will look great as part of a wider Star Wars collection, and there is a lot of detail in the design and paintwork, such as the life vest and the helmet that he is wearing.
Poe looks as though he should be en route to his X-wing rather than ready for a battle on the ground, perhaps he has just landed to provide reinforcements. Whichever scenario players choose, they can be sure of a great fight because he is armed with both a spring-loaded shooter and blaster pistol. In addition to this, there is plenty of extra ammunition so he should be able to handle himself and provide much needed back up. Like the other models in the series, this 24cm model is classed as highly posable with all the articulated joints so he should stand against the tougher characters in this range with no problems. Players can have plenty of fun putting him in different poses against the enemy and making sure that he gets the role they feel he really deserves.
