The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Guardians of The Galaxy Ayesha’s Revenge set is an all new battle scenario based on the up-coming second Guardians of the Galaxy movie, and due for release in March 2017. As the name suggests, this is all about Ayesha and her quest for revenge, with Star-Lord and Yondu out to stop her. It is an action packed set with some interesting new vehicle builds that provides a glimpse into this alternative side of the Marvel universe. Players can battle it out over the landscape and work to avoid disaster.
This new Marvel LEGO set puts Ayesha’s Golden Drone against Yondu’s Laser Drill with some interesting results
Ayesha is out to cause trouble and do everything possible to prevent Yondu and Star-Lord from stopping her. The Golden Drone is a manoeuvrable, powerful device that can easily dart between gaps in the rocks in hard to reach places. The adjustable arms switch from battle mode to ultra-speed mode with ease, so it is hard to track down. The on-board stud shooters have enough fire power to break the rock and send it hurtling down towards our heroes in the Laser Drill spaceship. This is created via an exploding effect on the rock accessory.
The Laser Drill spaceship is build to withstand an attack and keep up fairly well, with its streamlined shape and spring-loaded missile. This is where the outcome of the scene falls into the hands of the player. They can have the team catch up to Ayesha and stop her, or they can fall victim to the little trick with the exploding rock. The set comes with additional accessories such as the wrench, fire extinguisher and Annulax battery. This suggest that something is going to be set on fire and left in need of repair. There is also the addition of Star-Lord’s jetpack, just in case he needs to follow behind via another mode of transportation.
The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Guardians of The Galaxy Ayesha’s Revenge building set is one of the more unique Marvel LEGO sets with a lot of appeal.
The great thing about Guardians of the Galaxy LEGO sets is that they are completely different from many other Marvel sets, with their fun spaceships, strange new characters and cosmic worlds. This is definitely true here, but the appeal is also in the attention to detail in the features and designs, such as the Ravager costume on Groot. There is a lot to love here and this is sure to be a popular addition to the 2017 range.
