The best Marvel Superheroes battles are a war of good versus evil, heroes versus villains. The new 2017 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Hulk vs. Red Hulk 76078 set is a great example of this is. It essentially puts the green team up against the red team in an epic battle of physical strength and skill with their vehicles. In the end, only one team can come out on top and it is up to players to decide who. Do they want Hulk to emerge victorious so he can go on to continue fighting with the Avengers, or do they want the evil Red Hulk to dominate and cause havoc?
The main focus of this set is a big battle between the two Hulk team vehicles – but some teamwork doesn’t go amiss either
The main build in this set is the pair of Hulk team vehicles. They are pretty impressive looking machines with their large wheels, tough bodies and elaborate paint jobs. On the green team, Hulk has his large yellow and purple off-roader with its four giant wheels, flag and just enough room for Hulk to sit inside and drive. The Red Hulk model is a slightly more streamlined three wheeler in a stylish red and black. Will this shape give the red team the edge? The vehicles are certainly well matched when it comes to firepower as the green car has a frightening 6-stud shooter while the red one has three twin-stud shooter. They also both have jumping functions that allow the beasts to launch themselves out of the vehicle and onto their opponents.
As this is the red team vs the green team, rather than simple Red Hulk vs Green Hulk, there are two more minifigures in the set that are out to try and help their chosen Hulks to victory. She-Hulk and Red She-Hulk are standing by to man the guns, take control of the vehicle when the Hulks take their flying leap and to generally act as support in the fight.
The concept may be simple, but this LEGO Marvel SuperHeroes Hulk vs. Red Hulk 76078 Building set is a great add-on for LEGO Marvel collections.
This set is appealing because not only does it focus on Hulk, a character sometimes overlooked with LEGO, it is the sort of build that can be added into other situations. Any large scale Avenger set with a creative player can benefit from this additional fight scene.
