In the LEGO Elves Emily Jones & the Baby Wind Dragon set, Emily has stumbled across a strange egg in the forest and decides to take care of the creature, a baby wind dragon called Fledge, with dragon cherries and chocolate. The egg is a new LEGO element for the Elves sets, with a translucent look, and is the perfect container for the small Fledge figure.

The egg sit on top of the buildable element of this kit, which is the forest waterfall and cave, complete with a wobbling stepping stone and a moss nest. With care and perseverance, Emily can hatch this pretty egg, gain Fledge’s trust and help him take his first flight. This set complements other wind-themed sets and provides a willing pupil for the Dragon school.

LEGO Elves Elvendale School of Dragons 41173 Set

In the world of LEGO Elves, hatching dragons is just the start of a long and rewarding relationship and it is important that all the elves know how to train their new friends. Another new set for 2016 is the LEGO Elves Elvendale School of Dragons, where Tidus Stormsurfer the Dragon Trainer teaches his skills to his class of baby dragons and elven owners.

The set comes with an additional dragon, baby Miku, but can be used with any characters that players already own. The classroom has mushroom chairs, blackboard, school bell and writing material for all the lessons, but also a napping area and plenty of cookies for a well-earned break. Also included with this school is a zip line challenge to test the characters speed and skill and an hourglass to time their efforts. LEGO Elves The Water Dragon Adventure 41172 Set

A well-trained dragon can be a vital ally in the land of the LEGO Elves and each elf has their own dragon to match their element. Naida Riverheart, the water elf, naturally needs a water dragon by her side and she now gets her wish with the 2016 LEGO Elves The Water Dragon Adventure building set.

Players get to build a model of Merina the water dragon for Naida to ride around on while she is off on her adventures, as well as a crystal waterfall with a secret compartment for hidden treasure. With her map and binoculars in hand, Naida can set out on her journey, guiding her dragon, and then return to the waterfall to stash anything she may find that may help her quest, or that of Emily Jones. Also included are a water lily for the fountain and a brush and perfume bottle for Naida.

LEGO Elves The Starlight Inn 41174 Set

There are many dragon related adventures for players to enjoy in the new 2016 line of LEGO Elves sets and the LEGO Elves The Starlight Inn set puts the spotlight on Azari Firedancer and a baby fire dragon called Spark. Azari and Spark have been exploring unknown territory all day and have come across the Starlight Inn, the ideal place to rest for the night. This inn is owned by Sira Copperbranch the Sky Captain, who is also included, and contains a number of interesting rooms and elements.

After putting Spark to sleep in his egg in the warm cellar, Azari can search for more clues with the telescope, climb the hidden staircase, make some tea using the fire element and have a well-earned rest in the bedroom. The luggage, logs and tea sets are to be expected in an inn, but the strange key and treasure map could lead to more adventures.

LEGO Elves Fire Dragon’s Lava Cave 41175 Set

When Emily Jones and Azari Firedancer are not out on their adventures and searching for more clues about their quest in Elvendale, there is time to relax and enjoy the scenery. In the LEGO Elves Fire Dragon’s Lava Cave building set, players get to build the magical lava cave that provides the two girls with a safe campsite for the night. By moving the lava waterfall, Azari can reveal a secret entrance and a safe place to stay.

On a good day, there is nothing for the pair to worry about and they can relax as Sonya the fire dragon toasts marshmallows for them. The problem is that the blue waterfall has become poisoned and green! The discarded evil mask and map may offer a clue to the culprit. Clean up the area, rest on the moss beds and fly off with Sonya in the morning to get revenge.

The new range of LEGO Elves sets for 2016 provides something for all of the main characters and the LEGO Elves The Secret Market Place is especially designed for Farran Leafshade. This elf comes with Aria Windwhistler, Flamy, Owlyver and Thorne the earth dragon for an important mission in the forest. All good elves need plenty of supplies and there is no better place to stock up than at the Secret Market.

Ride in on Thorne and meet up with Aira to browse the markets range of goods. There are lots of items across this two storey building – from pumpkins to feed to Thorne to quills and ink. At one end, Owlyver runs the post office while at the other, Flamy works the goldsmiths. It is worth having a good look around because there is a hidden mechanism somewhere that opens up the tree to reveal the Book of Dragons.
