The new DC Superheroes Justice League has been a long time coming for comic book fans. The was a slow burn of character introductions with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. Finally they are all coming together with the rest of the Justice League. This is great news for DC Comics fans that have been bombarded with Marvel themed merchandise and LEGO sets for a number of years. Now it is their turn to enjoy the same range of battle sets, minifigures and vehicles as we saw with the Avengers – especially Iron Man and Spiderman.
The current set up of sets may not be that large yet, but there is always room to grow with this sort of range. As long as DC keep making the films and licensing the images, LEGO will find ways to bring the best scenes to life. This means that keen players can recreate the action and ensure that their favorite heroes finally get to team up – or face off if that seems more exciting. So far we have the Justice League DC Superheroes Flying Fox: Batmobile Airlift Attack Set 76087, LEGO Super Heroes 76086 Knightcrawler Tunnel Attack Set and LEGO Super Heroes 76085 Battle of Atlantis Set.

Justice League DC Superheroes Flying Fox: Batmobile Airlift Attack Set 76087
This first Justice League building kit is a great starting point for anyone that want to start their DC collection from scratch. There are two vehicles here for the price of one and a series of great minifigures to diversify the gameplay. The main build here is the Flying Fox, which is sent into battle against the Parademons in order to deploy the Batmobile. Both vehicles offer the style and detail to the build that buyers have come to expect. There are 955 pieces in total, which allows builders to create the iconic shapes and great firepower. The Flying Fox has a two mini figure cockpit and two spring loaded shooters, while the Batmobile has three stud shooters and adjustable wings.
Batman has a great choice of allies to ride beside him as he hunts down these Parademon figures, and the large Steppenwolf big-figure, in order to retrieve the Mother Box. They include Cyborg, Wonder Woman and Superman – although Superman would probably rather fly alongside. Also included in this set are weapons for the characters, such as Steppenwolf’s axe, Cyborg’s stud-shooting arm and Batman’s Batarang.
LEGO Super Heroes 76086 Knightcrawler Tunnel Attack Set
Players that want to collect all the new 2017 Justice League sets and build upon the stories and scenes will find that the Parademon mini-figures play an important role across the board. It seems that they are always around to cause a little chaos for our heroes. This means that players can build quite an army for new situations. There are two are these green, winged creatures in the new DC Superheroes Knightcrawler Tunnel Attack Set. This is the ideal set that shows the potential of a Justice League team up, as we have the clever, technically minded Batman alongside the speedy, enthusiastic Flash.
The main build here is another of Batman’s long line of carefully designed vehicles. This time we have the Knightcrawler – an all-terrain vehicle that can crawl down the tunnel on its 2-wheel tracks to chase down these bad guys. This is an interesting build that is unlike other LEGO Batman vehicles, with the strange shape, large red cockpit, posable limbs and dual 6-stud shooters. The look and movements mean that players can let their imaginations run wild. With Batman at the controls, and Flash alongside with his Power Blast function, those Parademons shouldn’t get too far.
LEGO Super Heroes 76085 Battle of Atlantis Set
If all DC fans are completely honest about their alliances and expectations with the Justice League, there is a hierarchy of characters in order of appeal. Most would automatically place Superman and Batman at the top. Aquaman is a little further down the list because he has rarely been the cool, interesting member of the team. The 2017 re-imagining of the Justice League could change that – as could this new LEGO DC Comics Battle of Atlantis Set. Here we have the new version of Aquaman – more intimidating than before with his new scale amour design, trident and Power Blast function. It is now his turn to take on a Parademon, as well as two Atlantean guards, in order to protect the Mother Box.
The scent takes place in a 197-piece set of ruins that measure 5 inches high and can be configured as players like. The design includes a grand arch – which won’t stay in one piece for long in this battle – as well as some reeds and seaweed to enhance the underwater feel. It is not the most extreme battle set, but it adds some versatility to this DC LEGO universe that fans will appreciate.
