The words “Corner Garage” don’t always conjure up the best images. We might think of a basic little gas station with a few fuel pumps, a small convenience store and some bunches of flowers that are a little past their best. That isn’t the case at all this Corner Garage 16+ LEGO set. This tough looking Lego set gives us the strong aesthetic of the 1950s in a beautiful corner building. This is a garage where you would want to come to fill up your car and have a skilled mechanic give it a quick check and a tire change. The whole building has great attention to detail in the exterior with the different signs, the rooftop terrace and the brickwork. There are also small elements for the sidewalk area, with a tree and street lamp.

This Detailed, 3-Story Corner Unit Allows for Some Diverse Stories and Creative Play
Each of the three storys in this build has its own purpose. The star of the build is obviously the garage on the ground floor. The interior houses a workshop where the mechanic and gas station owner can work to service vehicles. There is a working vehicle lift and a tow truck to bring in cars that have broken down in the neighborhood. Outside, motorists can fill up their tank at the fuel pump – which has the added bonus of the flexible hose.
Above that, a veterinarian has a medical center set up ready to welcome the sick and injured animals of the neighborhood. Owners can wait in the comfortable waiting area while they administer some first aid. There is a dog, frog, bunny, fish – complete with fish tank – and a parrot, so plenty to test the vet’s skills. There are also three other mini-figures. A woman, girl and a man. These could be the owners of the pets or they may be the occupants of the apartment on the third floor. This apartment has a “functional” kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with lots of accessories, as well as access to the roof terrace.
This Build Works Brilliantly with Many Other Builds in the LEGO Creator Range
The corner design of this multi-functional building means that this is a great unit to add to some current sets in a collection. This could sit right alongside the bank, fire station, Parisian restaurant and others in the range. The vehicles and figures, as well as the possible scenarios, mean that this melds nicely into that neighbourhood feel.
