The LEGO City Fire Starter set is a great example because it immediately puts the firefighter mini-figures into the heart of the action with some great set.
A brave gas station attendant has called the fire service because one of his fuel pumps is on fire. The three firemen need to get to the scene as soon as they can on the department’s ATV vehicle, keep the public safe and put out the flames in an efficient manner. They have a barrier and megaphone to keep the public back, tools and two fire extinguishers to deal with the fire and also a walkie-talkie if they need to call for back-up.

There are two firefighter mini-figures on board this large red truck and they are both in full uniform and armed with all the right equipment to help out as soon as they arrive.
This set includes the fire extinguisher, saw and axe. All of these tools fit nicely in the truck’s storage area for easy transportation and the cab at the front is large with a blue glass windshield. Lego City Fire Helicopter Set 60010
This range of situations and the impact of large fires in LEGO City means that the LEGO City Fire Precinct needs a range of tools and vehicles in order to respond to the emergency effectively. There are some cases where a fire truck just won’t do and they need to call in the LEGO Fire Helicopter to tackle the flames from above. When a factory catches fire and there is the risk of the flammable canisters and barrels exploding, players can use the big red helicopter to transport a firefighter to the scene.
The pilot can manoeuvre the chopper with its rotating blades and use the winch to lower the brave firefighter into position, making sure not to put him in danger. The factory set has an antenna and flame elements and while the firefighter is armed with a fire extinguisher, the helicopter’s water cannon may be more effective.

Once the fire is safely under control, it is time for the crew to head back to the station. The LEGO City Fire Station set is the ideal base because it is the perfect place for the mini figures to stay while waiting for a call out and it has space for all the different vehicles. From this three storey building, the minifigure crew can set off to the fire in many ways at great speed, sliding down the fire pole as the alarm rings. The other brilliant thing about this set is the attention to detail – the sign and other external accessories add a lot to the scene and there is even a little mascot in the form of a Dalmatian to welcome the firefighters back.
LEGO City Fire Chief Car Set 60001
Last, but certainly not least, there is the LEGO City Fire Chief Car set to add some authority to the fire station and some depth to the story. Every precinct needs a strong captain to lead them and this mini figure has his own gold helmet and fire chief car to prove it. This red car lets this chief travel to work with ease and has sirens on top for emergencies.
The chief was probably planning to simply drive to work and manage his crew from his office but he can’t pass up the chance to help a citizen in need along the way. In addition to the car, this set comes with a second mini-figure – a women who’s cat is stuck up a tree. Luckily, the chief happens to have a nice, tasty fish to lure kitty down and a walkie-talkie in case the plan fails and he needs assistance.
