What is Batman’s worst nightmare? Other than someone discovering his identity and threatening his millionaire playboy lifestyle? A break in at the Batcave. Unfortunately, that is precisely what is going on in the new LEGO BATMAN MOVIE Batcave Break-in 70909 Set.
Defend The Batcave In Style With The LEGO BATMAN MOVIE Batcave Break-in 70909 Set
The Penquin and his hench-penguins have found a way in and are ready to cause carnage, but Batman is prepared. The evil genius has found a way in by the water and is arriving by Duckmobile. It is not the most stealthy of entrances, as this large yellow duck does make quite an impression. In case the sensors don’t spot him coming or hear the noisy hench-penguins making their approach, he can always use the multiple weapons to blast his way in. The Duckmobile contains two dual stud shooters and two flick missiles, along with the nice additional features of the rotating propeller and cockpit. These missiles are sure to alert the residents of Wayne Manor to the danger.
The interesting thing with this set is that it includes four mini figures – The Penguin, Batman, Alfred Pennyworth and Bruce Wayne. This gives players the chance to switch between alter-egos and add a sense of danger to proceedings. The attention to detail in the costumes is a big selling point for batman fans. Bruce Wayne has a smart white tux and cocktail glass, The Penguin has his top hat, umbrella and furs and there are three different Batman suits for Bruce to choose from.
There is a golden suit with gold cape, a more traditional number and a diving suit with flipper and breathing apparatus. This is ideal for sneaking out to the Batboat. Once changed, it is time for Batman to do battle with the penguin in the Batcave. The details of the Batcave are pretty impressive. Three is the rotating transformation chamber, a control center with that all-important Batcomputer and lots of other details in the different levels.
This LEGO BATMAN MOVIE Batcave Break-in 70909 Set provides a great base for other adventures and a centerpiece for a bigger LEGO Batman collection.
The beauty of this set is that it is one of those great builds for kids where they can spend ages building everything up, tear it to pieces in big battles and then re-build it again. The structure and features of the Batcave, the range of mini-figures and the inclusion of the Batboat mean that this build also has the potential to be used in other story lines.
