Over the past 18 months or so, more and more people have rediscovered the joys of 90s comedy classics. One of those getting a nostalgic re-watch with Generation X is Seinfield. Fans have loved going back in time and laughing at the escapades of Jerry, Kramer, Elaine, George, and Newman. Now, there is a new Ideas Seinfeld Lego Set 21328 to help collectors bring the scenes to life in brick form. Some, including the lead designer, would say that this is overdue. But, it is also here just at the right time to help those who have finished the box-set in lockdown and need more from the gang.
The main theme of this set is Jerry’s apartment all ready for the cameras to start rolling.
The set is one of the LEGO sets for creative adults. It is set up like a TV set rather than a typical build, which means the removal of the fourth wall and the addition of rigging and stage lighting above the set. The layout depicts the apartment from the small kitchen to the side - complete with appliances and bar stools - to the office space and the large living area. This living space has sofas and a coffee table for the cast to share their scenes.
There are detailed minifigures for Jerry, Kramer, Elaine, George, and Newman. The expressions, styling, and brick costumes are perfect for the era and key moments from the series. With the additional features around the home, it shouldn’t be too hard to create great stories. There are more than 1300 bricks to get to grips with in this 18+. This also includes the infamous Festivus pole, making this one of the coolest sets for 90s kids yet.
Finally, it wouldn’t be Seinfeld without some stand-up.
Last, but not least, this Ideas Seinfeld Lego Set 21328 build has one final element. There is a detailed little set off to the side where Jerry can perform a little stand-up. This was a feature that made the show stand out. Now, your little Jerry mini-figure can perform classic lines in front of the brick wall backdrop - just like the old days. This set is sure to be a hit with fans of the show and a labor of love because of the complexity of the pieces. Still, the finished set will be a big talking point in any collection.
