The modular buildings of the LEGO Creator Expert set have always been a challenging but popular build for all those that want to expand their brick-built towns into something spectacular. The new Downtown Diner Creator 10260 Lego set is set to be one of the hardest yet in this range because there is so much to create.
There are three very different, distinct levels to this build where collectors and younger players can create exciting stories.

The first level on the ground floor is an old-fashioned dinner where minifigures can come together for a drink and a bite to eat where they are served by the chef and waitress. The 1950s aesthetic is the coolest thing about this build with the curved window, the authentic open plan kitchen and the large pink sign. Some of these pink and teal elements are new to this set. The side of the build is even shaped like a large jukebox – much like the “real” one that characters can use inside. The curves and amount of bricks involved add to the difficulty but result in a creation that is unlike any other in the Creator Expert series.
An unusual feature on this corner unit is the ability to take an exposed staircase up to the second and third floors to interact with the other businesses. The removable levels mean that you can work on each complex aspect at a time to add in all the fine details. The second floor is home to a boxing gym with a weight training room, ring and punching bag. There are a boxer and bodybuilder here ready to get started on their regime for the next big competition.
Upstairs, a rockstar and his manager are going over some tracks at the recording studio. It might not be the biggest space in the world but the mixing desk and vocal booth should be good enough for a hit record or two. There is a skylight and a roof terrace so they can help a break when they get a creative block. The dual-face of the rockstar is also new for 2019.
It is all about the fine details with this set.
If that wasn’t enough, this complicated set also contains a series of other features that LEGO builders will appreciate, including the decorations at street level and the buildable 1950s convertible out front. There is a lot here to keep builders occupied, with 2,480 bricks in total, and this Downtown Diner Creator 10260 Lego set is sure to look great in any collection.
