Queer Eye isn’t a show that you might expect to see recreated in LEGO form, but that is the case for one of the most stylish LEGO sets for adults right now. The Creator Expert Queer Eye – The Fab 5 Loft Lego Set lets you recreate their Atlanta loft and indulge in fun makeovers.
This set lets you recreate crucial elements of the show in a fun build.
The main element of this build is the open-plan apartment scene. There are some really interesting stylistic touches to the interior design to tie the room together, but also crucial individual areas for the different characters. Therefore, if you are a bigger fan of one particular member, you can have fun playing with that model in their designated space. These areas include a kitchen island for Antoni where he can prepare some great meals for the gang, a clothing rack for Tan where he can put together great outfits, Jonathan’s swivel salon chair that is ready for some impressive makeovers, and Karamo’s couch and scrapbook. If that wasn’t enough, you also get a grooming station for Bruley the dog. All of the characters are included as cute minifigures ready for their next assignment.
Another interesting interactive feature in this set is the make-over area. There is a working turntable in the transformation chamber so that players can switch between the before and after reveals. There are two separate Kathi Dooley minifigures included in the box to show her in both stages. This adds a different element to the creative side of this LEGO Creator Expert set that takes it beyond a lot of other builds. The apartment scene is pretty common now, with some impressive build for Friends and Seinfeld. While the design elements here do set this build apart from those TV sets, the chance to actively create makeovers makes this more special for fans.
This set gets the seal of approval from the cast and fans alike.
Finally, if builders and fans wonder why this is easily one of the coolest looking TV Lego sets around, and one of the more authentic, there is a good reason for this. Apparently, Bobby took the time to go over and approve a lot of this design so that it meets the standards of the group and showcases their personalities well. There is no doubt that the Creator Expert Queer Eye – The Fab 5 Loft Lego Set is a bit of a niche set, but those that love the show are going to fall for this quirky build and have great fun pretending they are part of the Fab 5.
