Like all good Disney stories, the LEGO Disney Princess Ariel’s Magical Kiss 41052 offers a tale of good versus evil, magic spells and romance. Ariel lost her voice as a trade for the chance to live on the surface world with Prince Eric. A kiss will break the spell, so she needs to go all out with a romantic date for him to take the hint and give her her voice back.
Build a New World for Ariel on the Surface and Enjoy a Whole New Story
Like the other sets in this LEGO Disney range, there is a great castle-themed build in the form of the Royal Palace. This is where Ariel gets to enjoy her new life as a human princess with Prince Eric. There is a dining room, a roof terrace, where they can look out over the lagoon and scenery with the telescope, and lots of cute details. There are pink roof parts, green flags, flowers and stickers for the walls. Additional accessories here include the royal crown and diamonds. Outside, beside the lagoon, there is a small gazebo boardwalk area to build. This is where the pair can enjoy the story of this build.
In order to get her voice back, Ariel has designed the ideal date at the lagoon. The pair can set out from the boardwalk in their little boat and row around the lagoon, stopping to admire the tree in the middle and the friendly frog that lives there. When they return, they can have a picnic beneath the gazebo. The picnic basket is all prepared and waiting for them, with croissants and fruit.
At this point, it is important to note that this is a discontinued model.
This simply means that the designers at LEGO have moved onto new ideas, like Moana and other sets for new films, and have stopped creating this set. Therefore, parents need to search around with other vendors to find it. There is nothing wrong with a discontinued set, it is just an older model. The great thing about this theme is that these older models can never become outdated. There is a timeless charm to the Little Mermaid story, and it started long before Disney got hold of it.
